Delhi Metro Phase 4 is one of the biggest expansion projects in the capital, covering 65+ km across 6 corridors. The government approved 3 priority corridors which are currently under construction. ✅ 1️⃣ Janakpuri West – R.K. Ashram Corridor (Magenta Line Extension) Total Length: ~29 km Status: Piers, girders & station work progressing on most sections Major stretches like Madhuban Chowk, Haiderpur, Mukarba Chowk, and Derawal Nagar seeing rapid development Major Benefit: Will decongest Blue Line, improve West–North Delhi travel ✅ 2️⃣ Mukundpur – Maujpur Corridor (Pink Line Loop Completion) Total Length: ~12 km Status: Almost 90% work completed This will complete the loop of the Pink Line, allowing seamless ring connection Key Impact: Direct connectivity between Burari, Wazirabad, Maujpur, and Azadpur Expected to be the first Phase 4 line to open ✅ 3️⃣ Aerocity – Tughlakabad Corridor (Silver Line) Total Length: ~23 km Status: Tunneling & elevated construction in progress Silver Line will connect Airport (Aerocity) to Delhi’s South–East zone Key stations: Chhatarpur, Tigri, Saket G, Pul Pehladpur Major Benefit: Airport access + integration of Delhi’s South Belt ✅ 🔴 Pending Lines / Not Yet Approved Corridors Although Phase 4 originally includes 6 corridors, 3 lines are still pending or not approved for construction: ❗ 1. Rithala – Bawana – Narela Corridor Status: Tender Invited Expected to boost North Delhi & industrial region connectivity Awaiting central approvals & funding clearance ❗ 2. Inderlok – Indraprastha Corridor Status: Work will start soon Important interchange line connecting Green Line with Central Delhi Still under review due to cost and alignment adjustments ❗ 3. Lajpat Nagar – Saket G Block Corridor Status: Work will start soon Will benefit South Delhi connectivity DMRC planning alignment options, awaiting nod These lines are crucial for full Phase 4 network integration but remain in the proposal stage as of the latest update. ✅ 🟢 Completion Timeline (Latest 2028 Expectation) Mukundpur–Maujpur Line → Likely first to open Janakpuri West–R.K.
