TRASH TO TREASURE DIY & FRENCH COUNTRY FARMHOUSE SHABBY DECOR IDEAS (115)

This video is Part 2 and a continuation of my previous video:    • TRASH TO TREASURE DIY'S - FRENCH COUN...  . I take several items and show how you can apply paint, wire hangers and printable images to things you may already have around your home to create beautiful French country farmhouse decor pieces. In the first project, I up cycle and transform a cabinet that I purchased from a local vendor and create a more neutral and complimentary piece for my home. I used several different colors of paint (Waverly white and cashew) and then I distress the piece using a damp cloth and fine sanding block. I created the look I wanted and then I painted the interior using Folk Art Vintage White craft paint and showed how you can decorate the interior even more using scrapbook paper. I stage the cabinet and then demonstrate how you can take ornate wall shelves to add another distinctive feature and accent to the cabinet or other settings in your home. I show how you can transform pan and pot lids into unique wall racks and hangers to add a more rustic flare to any space. I show how you can turn a tree branch into a decorative wall hanger and stage with various items to show many ideas for this cute and resourceful piece. I had 3 Dollar Tree frames in my stash and I tell how to print out free printables of your choice, cut them down to size and insert into the frames to create beautiful and unique pieces of artwork to your displays. I use one frame to show how you can cover the backing with fabric and attach a burlap rosette with a vintage piece of jewelry (earring) to make another stylish but very inexpensive decorative piece. I stage all of the up cycled and transformed pieces to show how they can compliment any space and areas throughout your home.
