Some bomber dos and don'ts ensure you always look stylish and sexy. I love mine from Thursday Boot because they eliminated the standard front zipper and made other modifications to make it flawless. THINGS NOT TO DO WITH YOUR BOMBER It's a casual jacket. Even if it's leather or shiny, a bomber is impossible to dress up. It looks best paired with denim and boots or sneakers. Wearing a T-shirt, Henley, or even a hoodie underneath will also crush it. Not all bombers are created equal. They come in different fabrics and styling options. Some have a plain front, but many will have a single chest pocket zipper. You may also see a lot of sleeve detail. Never wear fake leather. No matter what the item, do not ever wear fake leather. It looks cheap and doesn't cost that much less. As real leather breaks in, it patinas and looks a lot better. Fake leather will rip and look even cheaper. There are also way too many other badass fabric options. No big patterns. Do not go for a bomber that has any patterns. Go for a classic solid color and muted and softer Earth tones. Nothing obnoxious. Bombers that are loud and bright kill the overall aesthetic. Too tight. If you zip it up, and you look like a sausage, it's too tight. Not oversized. Also, don't wear one that's big and baggy. Don't pack your pockets. Do not pack your pockets with a lot of stuff because you look rounder. No button-ups. I'm not a huge fan of wearing a button-up underneath the bomber because I don't think the aesthetic works well. No polos. I'm also not a fan of wearing a polo under a bomber HOW TO WEAR YOUR BOMBER Bombers are comfortable to wear all day long, even inside. Bombers are age-appropriate no matter your age, and because they sit on your natural waist, they look good regardless of height. These jackets work well in fall and winter, and with the bomber collar, you can easily wear a scarf over the top. A great look is a simple t-shirt underneath it. A three-button Henley is one of my favorite layering options under a bomber. It's masculine, and the v-neck opening of the Henley contrasts nicely with the bomber collar. A turtle neck is definitely more fashion-forward and not too bulky to wear under a bomber. A hoodie underneath works well with a simple pair of denim jeans, boots, and sneakers. You could elevate the aesthetic with chinos, cotton pants, or corduroy. Sweatpants and joggers also look amazing with a bomber.
