India's Omicron Tally Rises To 21, 9 Omicron Cases Found In Rajasthan, 7 In Maharashtra

India's tally of Omicron variant cases on Sunday rose to 21 after Delhi and Rajasthan reported its first cases and Maharashtra added seven more cases of the new variant. Delhi, Maharashtra and Rajasthan added to India's Omicron tally by recording one, seven and nine cases respectively of the variant that has rung caution bells across the globe. So far, Omicron variant cases have been reported in Karnataka, Gujarat, Delhi and Rajasthan. India, meanwhile, registered 8,895 new Covid cases and 2,796 deaths in the last 24 hours.
