Dior | Autumn-Winter 2025-2026 Ready-to-Wear Show | Paris Fashion Week At the Fall 2025 Paris Fashion Week, Dior’s creative director, Maria Grazia Chiuri, unveiled a collection that masterfully intertwined the house’s storied past with contemporary design. Drawing inspiration from Virginia Woolf’s novel “Orlando,” Chiuri explored themes of transformation and gender fluidity, evident in the androgynous silhouettes and Elizabethan-era motifs that graced the runway. The collection paid homage to previous Dior designers, notably Gianfranco Ferré and John Galliano. Chiuri reimagined Galliano’s iconic early 2000s “J’Adore Dior” T-shirt, elongating it and adorning it with lace patches, seamlessly blending nostalgia with modern aesthetics. Additionally, the inclusion of dramatic ruffs and structured coats echoed Ferré’s architectural approach, while also nodding to Elizabethan fashion. The runway itself was transformed into a theatrical spectacle, featuring elements like a prehistoric bird installation and shifting landscapes, designed by renowned director Robert Wilson. This immersive setting enhanced the collection’s narrative of continuous evolution and the fluidity of identity. Chiuri’s designs skillfully balanced historical references with contemporary sensibilities, offering a fresh perspective on Dior’s legacy. The collection’s blend of past and present not only honored the brand’s rich history but also showcased Chiuri’s innovative vision for its future.
