------------------------------------------------------------ SENSORY AWARENESS is much like a communication process between people. It is highly PERCEPTIVE, involving a message, an interpretation and a specific internal response. Much like communication, it is highly dependent on both the context and one’s familiarity of a given message. Having clarity of message and ACCURACY OF RESPONSE involves ATTENTION and key abilities pertaining to FILTERING noise and PRIORITIZING that which is most relevant for survival and efficiency. With regards to the perceiving of incoming sensory information in the body, this attention and these key abilities can be seen when looking at the SENSORY HOMUNCULUS and the RETICULAR ACTIVATING SYSTEM (RAS) in light of their integration with other brain division and structures. ------------------------------------------------------------ This section is a section from EPISODE 2 of the Stability Efficiency series. It discusses one way that the brain prioritizes specific sensory information in order to achieve perceptive accuracy.
