Flight School Comparison - ATP vs Blue Line Aviation

Both schools are continually changing their pricing, so make sure to check out each flight school's website about updated pricing. Updates for Blue Line: Blue Line is officially at their new facility at Johnston Regional Airport and does not operate out of RDU anymore. Blue Line housing is now $650 instead of the original $500. Blue Line will be building a full dormitory right outside the airport. Blue Line currently does not accept the GI Bill, but they are working with the VA for reinstatement. My GI Bill covered approximately $10k of my program costs, and approximately $2k of my written and checkride test fees. It seems that the VA doesn't find every checkride or written test to qualify for reimbursement. I don't really understand how they determine that. Blue Line does now cover additional costs with their financing! They have new financing now that will cover all of the Career Pilot Program, housing, training supplies, and written checkride test fees. They put in a new order for 100 Diamond Aircraft, so their fleet is going to grow a little bit. ATP now has a 7 month program, and has a Flex Track program that allows you to work while going to school. This is just hear say, but two people I've talked to so far say it's costing them much more to do the Flex Track, and that they should have just done the normal program. ------------------------------------- I have been doing a lot of research on choosing which flight school to go to between ATP and Blue Line Aviation.
