Earthquake with the magnitude of 6.4 on Richter scale struck on Lombok Island yesterday (29 July 2018). The quake stranded hundred of hikers on Mt. Rinjani. Rinjani is an active volcano standing 3,726 m above sea level on Lombok Island of Indonesia. With a lake within its crater and another active volcano in the lake make iconic scenery of Mt. Rinjani. This unique view of the volcano calls adventurers around the globe to explore its beauty. So did we. Just last month we visited Mt. Rinjani by taking a 3-days-2-nights trek to the summit. The trail was challenging with sheer cliffs and exposed summit ridge covered in loose volcanic screes. At this moment many of the trekkers on the mountain have already made their way out to safety. So we would love to show you the dangerous beauty Mt. Rinjani.
