#rolleiflex #tlr #photography In 1988 I acquired my first medium format film camera from a retired wedding photographer. More than 30 years later I still use it, especially when I need to slow down and get back to the basics. Here I demonstrate some of the basic operations as well as loading/unloading film. You will see that the body is a bit battered but actually it was mostly like that back in 1988! This is not an instructional video, it just gives an idea of how to operate the camera. TLR - refers to it having twin lenses, one for viewing and the other for the film. F3.5 refers to the widest aperture, I'll demonstrate that in a future video as well as the basic functions. From the serial number I'm able to identify 1969 as the year of manufacture, which ties in with the history given by the former owner. The original design of this camera goes back to the 1920s.
