Welcome to Ancient Horrors, a fun little series I want to do where we play some super-old horror games and see how they hold up today. Are they still good, or should they remain lost to time? Let's find out. The first entry into this series is Ecstatica, a super-old DOS game originally released in 1994. What's notable about this one is it's a survival horror that came out just a couple of years after Alone in the Dark! Also, in a time when most developers were turning to polygons to make more realistic graphics, Ecstatica stood out by instead using ellipsoids, which would explain why characters look like weird balloon animals instead. ========== /^v^\ ========== Did you know I have a Discord server?
