Some things I’ve found to cause the “throttle control message (I’ll edit these as time goes on): 1) boost leak in intercooler tubing 2) weak or failing lift pump in fuel tank 3) clogged/neglected fuel filter In regards to a deleted truck: For a lot of “tunes”, certain monitors and trouble codes can be eliminated or masked from coming on. If there is a problem, it’s possible for the throttle control message to come on, and truck be in limp mode, but with no trouble codes given. Ideally, you’d want to be able to flash the truck back to stock programming to determine what it is and hopefully be able to see a trouble code or clue. Otherwise, from my experience, a boost leak and low/erratic fuel pressure between tank and injection pump are the most likely culprits.
