Fresh Fruits for Fruchthof Northeim with Frigotec and the ECOLINE PRO // BITZER in Action

Fresh fruits and vegetables – sustainably cooled with propane Two 4-cylinder reciprocating compressors from the BITZER ECOLINE PRO series are the heart of a refrigeration system of the fruit wholesaler Fruchthof Northeim in Germany. Fitted with the IQ MODULE CM-RC-02, the compressors are part of a new FrigoNatura® propane liquid chiller from Frigotec. Fruchthof Northeim converted its previous R404A refrigeration system to a future-proof alternative. The R404A refrigerant is affected by the accelerated phase-out of HFCs in accordance with EU F-gas Regulation. The choice for the new system fell on propane as a natural refrigerant. This decision ensures long-term planning reliability, reduces energy and operating costs, and improves its overall carbon footprint.
