February 5th 2023. After being in storage for 10 years, Mk2 national KHH 378W is back, 378 was moved from its location in Workington to Lillyhall. From there it will be assessed and sent away for mechanicsl repairs, before returning for repaint and hopefully attend LN51 in April, Once 378 is back on the road, will mean that the Workington Transport Heritage Trust will have a Mkll to take to events, having been the flagship in the Trusts early years. It will also mean that all 5 Nationals are in some form of running order, the exception being CEO 720W 'Barrow 20' which at time of publishing, has a ongoing mechanical fault which is proving difficult to pin point. 0:03 Leyland Lynx 251 0:23 378 first move out the shed in 10 years 2:15 Reving the Leyland 0.680 engine in the yard 3:21 Reversing the Lynx back to the rear of the shed, Hopefully to be moved again and restored 4:07 378 Finally leaving the yard 6:40 little run on the estate road, (copyright to Bronwyn Coombs) 8:22 After 10 years, 378 makes a break for the open road.
