Over Pernek l Little Carpathians, SK - Along The Interpretive Trail Towards The Romantic Pleš

Pernek is a well-known village with active inhabitants, who apparently unlike some other villages in the region of Záhorie do not mind hosting tourists :-). The Pernecké Oné association together with partners created 2 educational trails through local attractions. In particular, mining played an important role in the village: in the past, even silver and gold were mined in the socalled Svätodušná štôlňa adit. In Pernek there was also a narrow gauge headland railway and several mills. The Tri kríže pilgrimage site is also worth a visit. The well-known Slovak Salesian Anton Srholec worked in the village of Pernek as punishment for some time during socialism. Our circuit started in the opposite direction of the "Náučný cykloturistický chodník okolím Perneka" trail near the locality of Zámčisko, we turned back at Prostredný vrch and closed it with a visit to Pleš hill and the viewpoint above Starý lom. We will be glad if you join us walking through this route with us :-) Attractions of the circuit: Medieval ruins of Zámčisko with preserved ramparts and moat - the former castle guarded the passage through the Little Carpathians through Pezinská Baba Hradisko - a hill with a bench :-) having a nice view of the opposite Pleš Kostolný vrch overlooking the central part of the Little Carpathians and Čmeľok, with the unfortunate soundscape of the Pernek-Pezinok rally :-) Prostredný vrch - with good views to all sides An alternative to the route through Prostredný vrch is the Pernecké bane mines stop under the hill Krížnica - in the past, antimony, pyrite and other minerals were mined here (we omitted this due to lumbago and heat) Kostolný potok - cools one down pleasantly in case of a summer hike Pleš Hill with picturesque, moosy, twisted trees at the top and great views Charming scenic viewpoint towards Pernek and Záhorie in the area above Starý lom Baroque Church of the Holy Spirit with classicist facades Route: https://sk.mapy.cz/s/lugoracubu Distance: ~ 11 km Elevation difference: ~550 m Terrain: undulating, occasional steep ascents and descents, forest roads and trails Difficulty: moderate 4-6-2024
