When we visited Sykia for the first time, we couldn’t quite understand why would someone want to spend their holiday in such a small place with so little content. After spending a month in the South of Sithonia, we were proven wrong and we found out that Sykia really is a perfect choice for your holiday on Sithonia! Beaches near Sikia This beach alone is a good enough reason to spend your holiday in Sykia. At only 3-4 minutes of walk from this beach there’s a nice cove called Linaraki, and another 2 minutes from that there’s an even nicer cove called Limanaki, and after that one there’s possibly the nicest one - Tourkolimnionas. After the third and the last cove, you can continue by car and after 2-3 minutes you will reach one of the most beautiful beaches on Sithonia - Klimataria. If you continue driving for 4-5 minutes after that, you will come across three fantastic coves called Tigania. These coves are our favorites on the South of Sithonia. But that’s not all. Just behind the cape, there is a very long, wide and sandy beach Kriaritsi with its two coves. All of these beaches are located on the right of the big, central beach Sykia and they’re all really beautiful. Some of these coves have some good restaurants and the most famous one is “5 Steps in the Sand” in the Pigadaki cove. The list of beaches close to Sykia doesn’t end here. We’ve only mentioned the ones on its right side. Left from Sykia, we have Griavas, Valti and in the end, the most beautiful beach on that side in our opinion, Agridia. Something that these beaches have in common is that they’re never crowded, not even during the peak of the holiday season, and they’re also not organised along their entire length, so they have enough space for visitors with their own equipment. If we look at Sykia’s surroundings a little further, then Kalamitsi, which is considered to be one of the best beaches on the entire Halkidiki peninsula, is also very near it. Sarti is only 8 km away, and many beaches around Sarti are 7-12km away (Platanitsi, Orange, Mega Portokali, Kavourotripes Paradise).
