How the stormwater system works during heavy rain

If you have ever wondered what happens to all the water when it rains, let us show you! We have over 550km of stormwater channels and pipes in PAE, plus 90 detention basins, 4,000 pits, and over 10,000 inlets. This video shows how urban stormwater systems work both above ground and underground, and explains why you might see flooding or pooling of water in your street when we get a heavy downpour. This animation was developed in collaboration with the City of Marion and City of Charles Sturt.
