Globestock Safety has made a small update to the latest version of the SAVER SLR-R device, following feedback from service centres who regularly see units returning from the field. Based on what they were seeing during servicing, a pair of small drain holes have now been added to the casing. These allow any water that enters the unit to drain straight through, rather than collecting inside. The drain holes are positioned on the top of the unit, because the SAVER is normally installed on an incline when fitted to a tripod. This means any water trickling into the device via the rope can run straight out again. The holes are machined into both sides of the case during manufacture, creating a clean drainage path once the unit is assembled. As always, Globestock Safety recommends removing devices from their anchorage when they’re not in use for extended periods. This minor change is a good example of how real-world use and service feedback continues to shape small but practical improvements to Globestock Safety equipment.
