Time - 41:58 Index Placement: Veteran Personal Placement: Veteran 3 Attempts: 11 And that's the end of Sunlust! This map is still terrifying even if it might not be the hardest map in Sunlust. It does have some of the hardest fights in the WAD though, especially the Cathedral fight which you can just lose if the Cyberdemons don't infight. You can just AVJ out of the fight, but I didn't want to do that for this demo. I wouldn't have felt good about it. The first half of the map went pretty smoothly, apart from a dodgy situation in the secret fight, saved a lot of cells from the Cathedral fight which made everything else much easier. The second half, however, was very turbulent. The infight party, baron wall and Revenant cages all went smoothly, but I lost so many cells to the Cyberdemons not shooting the viles which made the Archvile Box much more awkward to deal with. The final fight went mostly okay, but the Cyberdemons pushing on the left made me had to make a risky play and push through the Pain Elementals, which very nearly killed me. Once I picked up the megasphere and shut down the tower viles, the nerves left my body and I was locked in. Definitely could have been faster had things gone smoother, but the time is not too bad all things considered. Will be taking a break for now to focus on creative endeavours and getting a job.
