Art meets science – Research through an artists lens exhibition

Through the initiative Coalescence; Scientific research through an artist’s lens, the Royal Institute of Art ( ⁨‪@kungl.konsthogskolan9112‬ ) and SciLifeLab have connected the creative minds of artists and scientists. “Art and science are both about exploring the world around us, just from two different angles” says Project creator Max Frankel. The collaboration gives the scientists a glimpse of how their work can be visualized, while the art students get inspiration and insight in life science by looking at the laboratory environment from the inside. This exhibition was held in 2023. WHAT IS SCILIFELAB? In short: We are a national research infrastructure, funded by the Swedish government, that makes advanced instruments and expertise in molecular biosciences available to all researchers in Sweden.
