Priced at just a little more than what a regular pair of Wayfarers might cost, Rayban Stories offer very cool video and audio functionality in a pair of old-school sunglasses. I was a little worried because a Facebook account is required, but that's the end of it. Once you authenticate your glasses to your account and download the Facebook View app, you'll never need to look at Facebook again. You can export and save videos to your phone, and then upload them anywhere you want. Not gonna lie, there are some cool editing features in the app, and it works with Android or Apple. Rayban Stories have tiny dual 5MP fixed-focus cameras that are surprisingly capable of producing impressive images and videos - in good light. There is some kind of algorithm that handles automatic light adjustment and stereoscopic photo depth, giving you photos that are 2592 x 1944 pixels, or videos that are a minimum 1184x 1184px at 30 FPS. I've had some videos that were a little higher resolution for some reason, but that setting is not user adjustable. I'd love to see 60 FPS for sports or outdoorsy fast-action stuff, but it is what it is. Although the cameras are technically stereoscopic, they don't yet capture three-dimensional images or photographs. The glasses have 4GB of storage that'll hold about 500 pics or 15-ish 60 second videos. You can pause a song, take a photo, or record a video in a single touch with the hyper-responsive touchpad and capture button. There are 3 built-in microphones to capture sound. They seem to be very clean indoors but are susceptible to wind noise. I made a few test calls and the callee said my voice sounded very clear. The glasses also have limited audio command capabilities. You can ask your glasses to take a video or a picture hands-free. There are also two very tiny open-ear speakers that work well for phone calls and maybe podcasts, but they're honestly too tinny for music. Some say the battery life is too limited, but remember – there's not a lot of room to put a battery in glasses, plus batteries are heavy! If you plan to max out the capture in a single day, make sure you bring the handy portable wireless charging case, which is included, and that will allow you to charge your frames on the road. I have the Transition lenses in mine, and they work extremely well. They are only sensitive to UVA or UVB light, so they won't get dark indoors.
