STARGATE'S LORE is layered with countless interesting characters that viewers never got to see much on screen. That includes Oshu, a Jaffa warrior and First Prime to Lord Yu, who found himself working alongside Teal'c and the humans from Earth when their interests temporarily aligned. But when Yu starts to lose his marbles, Oshu has to decide whether to disobey his master. Actor Kevan Ohtsji sat down with "Dial the Gate" to talk about his work on Stargate SG-1, where he played Oshu over five episodes – the first guest starring role of his career. But there's more to this story: joining them is author Diana Botsford, who explored Oshu's history in the officially licensed Stargate novel "Four Dragons." She reveals how the actor's performance choices ended up influencing how she wrote his backstory, including Oshu's astonishing connection to a figure from China's history.
