The HOVERAir X1 Pro MAX 8K Drone has been the most fun and effective drone I have used (and I have several nice DJI drones...) It is lightweight, packable, and easy to use (I taught our nieces to use it in less than 5 minutes), and the footage looks great (I like the 4K HDR 30FPS). I have never used a drone that did not require a remote control and attention. This autonomous drone lifts off from your hand, grabs the shots, and comes back. It blew my mind. Then, the quality of the footage really stood out. I did not use the 8K footage (as my iPhone 15 Pro Max and MacBook Pro Max 2 could not use it either), but I opted for the nice H264 and H265 4K HDR footage. The Cycle kit we are testing also has a helpful "beacon," as they call it. I want to explain it more as a remote control mounted to a bike that can also show you what the drone is doing. I know many of us backcountry skiers get excited when we hear "Beacon," so I wanted to clarify that. :) I can not recommend this drone enough. The ease of use, the quality of the footage, the app, the ability to teach kids to use it, the auto-tracking, the obstacle avoidance, and the natural tracking while biking, hiking, and skiing (well, splitboarding in my case LOL) all make this a must-have item for anyone looking to shoot high-quality video content for B role or even main video.
