CLASSIC TRUCKS & more enjoy the sun at the Midway Truck Stop

An informal gathering of classic trucks was set to take place in the lorry park opposite the Midway Truckstop near Whitchurch, so we headed over in our '40s pickup for a look around. Being a Sunday there were many other enthusiast-owned vehicles coming and going, in addition to many examples of classic British lorries and others from further afield. Truck manufacturers represented included ERF, AEC, Bedford, Guy, Foden and Leyland DAF, there was even a fantastic old coach based on the post-war Austin K8 chassis. That was definitely one of my favourites, as was a wonderful 1944 Foden that parked up alongside the diminutive coach. Amongst the trucks were many many motorcycles out enjoying the Sunday sunshine, including a number of old-ish examples which I also managed to grab a few clips of.
