NEW COVER/LESSON EVERY WEEK! Cover #80. Man, ever since the first time I heard this tune back in 2013 I've been wanting to cover it. Wintergatan is a genius band from Sweden, and if you ever get the opportunity to see them live you should definitely do it. One thing that makes it extra fun is that Marcus, the drummer, was my drum instructor for a little while. Great guy! I decided to transcribe the whole drum part as an additional fun challenge. Vater just gave me the Vater StickMate Tambourine and Shaker, so it was a perfect opportunity to really check it out! The drumming's pretty crazy and intense. The drums are quite heavily compressed and EQ'd due to how loud the drums are in the original mix. The situation left me with two options; have the music pretty quiet, or compress my drums harder. I chose the latter. The only slightly negative effect it has is that it sounds a bit less "live" - but I can assure you it is, haha. You guys should definitely check out more of Wintergatan's stuff.
