Scariest lift/elevator ride EVER on very old Platt-Schindler @ Guy's Hospital

It made me scared when lift stoped hardly at the top since this was first time that I encounter that type of thing. My suggestion is the reason why the locked 17 and 18 floor is becuase there are already some problems with leveling on 16 floors in other words there may be even worst things above 16 floor (you know they have to keep with health and safety issues). The possible reason why it makes a hard stop on the 16 is becuase it looks like there is a plate missing in the shaft which determines when to slow down the lift and instead acitivates the hard brakes. Not only the hard stop is the problem. The lift is shaking so hard that the doors are moving (you can acually hear that). All the problems are acually only when it goes up, although you can still feel shaking when it goes down but not much as it goes up. Unfortunately I'm not supraised if they will modernize it , on the other hand is just a service lift afterall so they may not be bothered.
