Beautiful Abandoned Hotel With A Basement In Florida

This abandoned hotel was built in 1916 and like many hotels of the era, it stood tall as a shining image of prosperity for the beautiful town that it lives in. This beautiful hotel had a beauty parlor, barbershop, a gift shop, and a restaurant. The building itself consisted of a three-stories with two short wings. The owners hit Financial troubles and In June 1927, their corporation went bankrupt and their properties were put up for auction. Vandalism is a prime example of why I don’t share locations of the places I visit. This hotel operated throughout the depression. Immediately after World War II On May 11, 2016, a small electrical fire activated the hotel’s suppression system, prompting a routine fire inspection of the property. As we cascade into a dark and unknown basement I was to point out that this is a beautiful hotel and I can’t imagine the kind of events they had here during it’s prime. The workmanship, the history, by far one of my favorite places. The inspection found multiple fire violations including obstructed exit doors, no fire alarm system, and more. Due to the violations, this beautiful hotel was condemned and remains closed to this day. As some of you might know, I’m urban exploration in some locations are extremely difficult and sometimes impossible. You never know what you’re going to find and I’m some cases you might be late and the structure has been demolished. I’m other cases security has been tightened due to vagrants and Vandals. Destruction of these historic landmarks is not okay. History is unfortunately being Erased daily. We want to respect the building and locations. Don’t break and enter, don’t take anything but photos, and leave nothing but footprints. I started this hobby as a photographer and the YouTube channel was started to possibly fund my adventures at some point. After seeing the beautiful wonders of our past. The amazing craftsmanship. The artwork created. As an artist, I sympathize with those that spent time crafting the building we inhabit daily.
