They also opined that the multi-agency probe in itself is insufficient and should instead be part of an investigation led by a royal commission of inquiry (RCI). Yesterday, Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil said the cabinet had ordered the police, Inland Revenue Board (IRB), MACC and Securities Commission (SC), among others, to investigate the "corporate mafia" claims and look into loopholes that allow for "corporate manipulation". Meanwhile, in a separate story, Lawyer Nizamuddin Hamid, who is representing Na’imah Abdul Khalid, was called in for questioning at Bukit Aman today.
