Wartime substitute fuel (firewood) bus, the "Santa".

Kanagawa Chuo Kotsu is Japan's largest route bus company. To commemorate the 60th anniversary of the company's founding in 1981, they produced a wood fuel bus that symbolized the difficult times during and after the WWII. His name is "Santa." During the 60th and 70th anniversaries, there was a traveling exhibition in their business area, and I remember going to see it. After that, it remained in storage. In early Nov. 2023, the status of its restoration and test run was suddenly uploaded on the company's official YouTube channel. At the end of the video, there was a preview of an exhibition at Keio University Shonan Fujisawa Campus later that month. I visited to this exhibition. There is a simple explanation in English.
