MESA/Boogie Founder, Designer and President Randall Smith takes you on a tour through 'The Pit' at Mesa's one-and-only factory in Petaluma, CA. The Pit serves as Randy's main tech bench and is also an archive where old prototype amps get 'put out to pasture'. Randy discusses 'reproducing the magic' from the original prototypes and some of the steps, processes and philosophies involved in making every production amp as good as the original prototype amps that start it all. See the FIRST Rectifier, ironically built in a Mark IV chassis with the second (Dual) Rectifier sticking out of the back of the amp since there wasn't enough room to put it next to the first one in the original proto.
