We are now at İzmir Basmane, the second of the two terminal stations in Izmir, Turkey, where we see a few trains of the Turkish State Railway (TCDD Türkiye Cumhuriyeti Devlet Demiryolları) in the station. First, we see a Class E68000 electric locomotive and a Class DE22000 diesel locomotive. E68077 is an E68000 electric locomotive built in 2015 by Hyundai Rotem and TÜLOMSAŞ (Türkiye Lokomotif ve Motor Sanayi Anonim Şirketi). They have a maximum speed of 90 MPH and produce 6,705 horsepower. This locomotive has been updated a bit, as is evidenced by the TCDD Taşımacılık on the side of the engine. DE22020 is a DE22000 diesel locomotive built in the mid-1980's by TÜLOMSAŞ (Türkiye Lokomotif ve Motor Sanayi Anonim Şirketi) under licensing from GM-EMD (General Motors Electro-Motive Division). It is based on the G26CW-2. It is powered by a single 16-645E, which produces 2200 horsepower. The engine is capable of speeds up to 75 MPH. After a couple of minutes, we see diesel switcher DE11030, a DE11000 diesel hydraulic locomotive, as it makes its way out of the station. The DE11000 were built by Krauss-Maffei and TÜLOMSAŞ (Türkiye Lokomotif ve Motor Sanayi Anonim Şirketi) between 1985 and 1990. They are powered by an MTU 8V396 engine, which produces 1,053 horsepower. The locomotives are able to run at speeds up to 50 MPH. Enjoy the view of all of the different trains at the station.
