ABOUT THE HIKING Trail: Kiilopää to Lake Luirojärvi + Sokosti Date: 2023.8.14 - 2023.8.17 Place: Urho Kekkonen National Park, Finland NOTE (Japanese follows English) I had always wanted to go hiking in Lapland, the northernmost region of Finland. This time, we hiked in Urho Kekkonen National Park, which is located in the eastern part of Lapland, for 3 nights and 4 days. On the first and second days, we camped in a tent, but on the third day, it rained from morning to evening, so we stayed in a free, no-reservation-needed cabin. Lapland is famous for swarms of mosquitoes in the summer, but during this time, there were only a few mosquitoes at the campsite, and they didn't bother us at all during the hike. We enjoyed hiking to Sokosti with a completely different view from what we saw during the hike.
