You’ll need to take two measurements: around the calf- which is the widest bit of the leg and will give you an idea of the width of the boot you need to buy, and the length – which is measured from the knee down to the floor. To accurately measure this distance, find the bottom of the knee cap, run your finger around to the back of the leg, and measure down. Know your size in cm and inches. Lots of boots are still measured in inches so it helps to know what your size is in both. Sometimes the widest part of the boot will not correspond with the widest part of your leg, which can make for a less than perfect fit.
