One of two Solanum cassettes being released under the auspices of Gondolin and Galvorn Records today, as part of several tapes through the associated imprints of Gondolin, Galvorn, Isilya Records and Forsaken Relics. Alongside the re-release of 'Spheres Of Time' coming through Gondolin on the 11th, 'From The Deep' is a definitive version of Solanum tracks which have seen reimaginings through various demo versions until this collaboration with Galvorn brings them into a final form committed to tape. After closing out the Depressive Silence live shows with epic appearances at Albion Dungeon Fest and Echoes From the Dungeon, Solanum concludes a personal saga that has been 26 years in the making with a first new release since 1999. The result of the artist's continued preoccupation with black metal and electronic music since the early days, From the Deep is a deeply atmospheric and personal album with bold psychedelic expression, darkly subdued ambient techno, gloomy dungeon metal, and ominous mystic resonance.
