My name is Pastor Ruth of the Longmeadow Church and I post a special message for the children of our church every Wednesday as well as a message every Sunday for Family Worship. On this first Sunday of Lent, we follow Jesus into the wilderness, where he is tempted to abandon his call that will bring him pain and to embrace abundance, power and personal safety. But Jesus chooses instead a path of vulnerability which forms him into the Savior he will become. Our Scripture text for today is Matthew 4:1-11.
