Yorkrakine Rock - The Spiritual Rock

Just north of Tammin in the W.A. Wheatbelt lies the spectacular Yorkrakine Rock. A very spiritual place, it holds great significance to the traditional Noongar people who used the place as a birthing site. Many children and possibly women who died in childbirth are buried at the site. Iris and I really enjoyed exploring this rock, and can understand the significance given there is so much life around the Nature Reserve. It's a truly beautiful spot to explore and take in the nature, with the lovely backdrop of farms providing more green and colour, especially in the cooler months. The area is a fantastic spot to see wildflowers, have a picnic or go for a walk.
