Here are four cheap options to sharpen your mower blades this year. I mean cheap in a couple of ways…. All of these are under $20, but one of them totally sucks and one marginally sucks. Mower blades should be sharpened every 25 hours of use or even every 25 mows if it's easier to remember. Sharp blades will promote healthier grass all around, so do it often if you hit roots or rocks. Here's the deal, it doesn't matter how you sharpen the blades, it just matters that you do it.
