Lyrics Background: The lyrics themselves are directed mostly towards error. The lyrics have no direct purposeful correlation to underverse, excluding the fact that most of the AU's have been wiped out by error. All the references to the original lyrics were kept in mostly for nostalgic purposes, and also because most of them made sense... well made sense enough to keep. I wanted to keep "No you will not faze me" really bad but I didn't know how to make the "Ones you've killed" make more sense. Ink doesn't really care about their lives, he's more worried about his emotions flowing from the AU's, atleast that's what I think, I'm not that knowledgeable about ink's lore of course. the community wanted cameo AU's to appear as a reference to the fangame despite the whole thing not being canon, so I decided to make the bad time trio the ones that would appear, not just because they're popular but because they all have the most unique voices so you could hear most of them, and also because they're one of the only au's with media of them all. When ink mentions "They" or people with no real identity, he's talking about the AU creators, ex: "To everyone who made my vessel feel so alive, I thank you for the gifts, but I'm not giving mine." He's thankful for those who helped him and have shown their creativity, but he can't protect their work anymore.
