I shadow drilled in my bedroom, practicing the same leg attacks Kolat was using. Less than a year later, I ended up placing in the State Tournament in only my second year of wrestling as a Junior in High School. 13 years later, I found myself training with/coached by Kolat, someone who I looked up to and tried to emulate a decade earlier from a VHS tape. Kolat helped transform me from an above average college track runner to an international freestyle wrestler and later as a coach. Even though Cary lost in this bout, I had never seen leg attacks, swagger, and intensity like this. I am greatful to have worked with Cary and thankful the VHS tape still works to digitize for you!
