Video Summary: It’s fair to say that the performance of Rhino 7 for Mac lagged significantly behind its Windows counterpart; most notably in terms of in Viewport responsiveness and Raytraced rendering times. The good news is that Rhino 8 for Mac fixes these issues and, as we’ll see in the video, is 20 times faster for some tasks than Rhino 7. Phil runs through a series of tests comparing Rhino 8 against its predecessor on both an Apple Silicon based machine and an older Intel based Mac the results of which are documented in our supporting PDF document which can be found on the Simply Rhino website.
