(please make sure you have read discord tos and are above the age of 13)   / discord   SPLATOON FOOTBALL RULES: Required Players: 6 (3v3) OR 8 (4v4) Basics: rainmaker football is a 10-minute non-stop game mode where the team who scores the most points wins the game. In order to score a point, you must take the rainmaker to a checkpoint/goal to score. checkpoints are worth 1 point, the goal after the checkpoint is worth 2 points. With every second goal hit, the rainmaker will reset to the middle of the map where they can score again. the team with the most points by the end of game wins the match. Timer Rules: The game will be 10 minutes long, giving plenty of time for both teams to try and score. There is an overtime which is 2 minutes long, giving some extra time if both teams are tied. Although, if the score is within 3 points (or less) of each other, the trailing team can pick up the rainmaker and take it to tie the game and THEN put it in overtime. This is called sudden death. sudden death occurs when either both teams are still tied after overtime or a team after regulation time is trailing by 3 points (or less) but the rainmaker is either in their possession or still in its bubble and not in possession by the leading team. Sudden death: This happens after the 10 minute mark and if the trailing team is losing by 3 or less. It can be activated if they still have the rainmaker or if they get the rainmaker from the bubble and take possession quickly. IF the other team has possession after the 10 minute timer ends or takes possession when the bubble is popped during sudden death, then the game will end. The trailing team only gets ONE SHOT with the 60 second timer to try and tie/take the lead to win the game. If the game is tied after sudden death, then it will advance into a two minute overtime. This can also occur in overtime and is called "last ditch effort". Overtime rules: Two minutes will be added and overtime ONLY happens if the score is tied after regulation. If the score is still tied after overtime and possible sudden death, then the game ends in a tie. Rules to follow while in the match: Do NOT take the rainmaker to a rainmaker-free zone in the last minute to try and avoid sudden death for the other team. Do NOT spawncamp in bases, please play respectfully and fairly. Do NOT end the game, the leader of the lobby will end the game when needed to. IF someone disconnects, the game will immediately stop and a possible retry will begin depending on how far the match went. Rainmaker resets are allowed if you jump off the map with the rainmaker. Sabotages are now allowed and are punishable.
