Although this is a toy for my son (eventually) I have got very attached to it and really do want to complete to as high a specification as I can. Ideally this Toylander 1 will sit alongside my own 1976 Land Rover Series 2 88" diesel which, in itself has become a bit of a rolling restoration project. The two, when both painted in Limestone, will look great together. This episode shows the fabrication and welding of the windscreen hinges and then the installation of the windscreen, after a little adjustment of the perspex 'screen. Very soon I hope to be able to get some paint mixed to finish painting the bonnet and then have that fitted - I cannot wait. Good to be able to get the welder out again and use it on some healthy thick steel! It took me a long time to work out how to make the windscreen hinges, turns out it really was not all that hard in the end and I think they look great!
