diy polypropylene dakar rally rallye adventure fairing, cost for 2006 exc rear guard (fairing) $87.00au, 2006 exc headlight $150.00au, low front fender $400.00, alloy flatbar 25mm x 3mm $7.00au, bolts rivets, washers $6.00au..........total $650.00au The guys from perfect fairing.com also make the low front fenders, contact them for cost! http://www.perfect-fairings.com/ I made an option B for the alloy frame using 12mm alloy "round"tube , seems to be alot stronger, not that ive had any problems with the alloy flatbar! start with a 1500mm length of 12mm x 1mm alloy pipe/tube"$9au 3mtr length, mark the centre "750mm" now measure 100mm either side of the centre line, so u should end up with a 200mm mark total from the centre, now add 18mm to either measurement to allow for the pipe bender curve, so total 236mm, using a cheap pipe bender from a hardware shop"$35au", line the zero mark on the bender with the outside marks "236mm", bend to 60 degrees, do this on both side marks, now measure from both outer marks to 205mm add 15mm only this time, so 240mm total, line the zero on the 240mm mark and bend to 35 degrees, next measure from the last outter mark 180mm add 15mm only, total 195mm, line the zero on the bender and bend to 90 degrees. the last 90 degree bend is up to you , depending on where u want to attach it to the bike "inner or outter part of the radiator". use H/D 12mm "rubber lined P clamps" to attach the frame to the fairing , in the same locations as seen in the video! • diy alloy frame dakar / baja fairing
