Battlefield 6 Escalation Vehicle Grind – Bad Maps, Broken Spawns & Chaos

Hi and welcome back to The General Mattis. In today’s Battlefield 6 video, we jump into Escalation mode to grind vehicle levels and unlock new camouflages. The goal sounds simple: play vehicles, gain XP, and progress. But as always, Battlefield finds a way to turn even the most basic grind into a frustrating experience. We start on Iberian Offensive, which is probably one of the worst possible maps if your main objective is leveling vehicles. The game matches us exactly on the map with the least vehicle availability. Great matchmaking once again. Instead of open fields and large-scale vehicle battles, we get tight urban streets and limited access to armor. Because of that, we try to level the jeep by capturing flags. It’s one of the only realistic ways to gain progress with this vehicle. At the same time, I jump into the infantry fighting vehicle as a gunner, but the narrow streets make it extremely difficult to play effectively. Engagements are short, chaotic, and often decided before you can even react. Things get even worse when we finally try to spawn in the main battle tank. We select our HQ as the spawn point, expecting to deploy close to the vehicle. Instead, the game spawns us on the complete opposite side of the base. That means running across the entire HQ just to reach the vehicle, which by that time is already gone. At that point, frustration takes over and we quit the round. We decide to try again and let matchmaking put us into another Escalation match. This time, we get Operation Firestorm, which is actually a great map for vehicle gameplay. But of course, the round starts with the enemy already leading 1 to 2. They only need one more point to win. Once again, Battlefield throws us into a nearly finished match. Despite the situation, we push hard with the infantry fighting vehicle and try to turn the game around. With coordinated effort and aggressive plays, we actually manage to shift the momentum and create some intense vehicle combat moments. Flying, however, is almost impossible. The sky is full of TOW missiles and anti-vehicle threats, making helicopters extremely difficult to use. Instead of rewarding skilled pilots, the game punishes anyone trying to take to the air. This video perfectly shows the reality of grinding vehicles in Battlefield 6: bad matchmaking, poor map rotation, frustrating spawns, and constant anti-vehicle pressure. But it also shows that with determination and teamwork, you can still create exciting moments even in the most chaotic situations.
