This antique Victory sewing machine has some local New Zealand history attached to it as it was made for D.I.C. department stores as seen on the logo on the bed of the machine. D.I.C. (Drapery Importing Company) was founded in 1884 in my home town of Dunedin and they had the these Victory sewing machines made for them in U.S. America and imported them into New Zealand.
