So you got kicked out of nursing school...now what? That's a scenario that many nursing students face each semester. Nursing school can be challenging, but after you've invested so much time and money into a program, it can be devastating to hear that you've failed out of nursing school. Students could fail out of nursing school (or be kicked out) for a variety of reasons: -Maybe your GPA fell below a required threshold -Perhaps you failed a competency exam such as HESI or ATI -Maybe you didn't have enough time to dedicate to your studies due to personal issues -Or perhaps you even got caught cheating on an exam or plagiarizing an assignment. Whatever the cause, getting kicked out of nursing school can be a horrific experience. It's normal to feel a whirlwind of emotions. You'll probably feel dumb, inadequate, embarrassed, depressed, and more. It's perfectly normal to feel these emotions, but you shouldn't get trapped in a vicious cycle of depression. When I feel this way, I usually vent, cry, pray, and eat some comfort food. Perhaps that will help you, too. However, after you have your down moment, you need to pick yourself back up again. You have God-given talents and abilities that you need to share with the world, and you shouldn't allow this setback stop you from fulfilling your dreams.
