An Intelligent Transport Monitoring System, together with a traffic police initiative, aims to educate school-going children across the country about road safety measures and reduce road accidents. According to last year’s police report, it indicates that nine people die every day, two of whom are school-going children. As part of this effort, Fort Portal traffic police, together with the ITMS team, donated reflector jackets and helmets to school-going children at Tooro Parents Education Center who travel by boda-boda. According to Michael Kananura, the traffic police spokesperson, by sensitizing young people on road safety, they will also educate their parents, which is expected to reduce accidents on the roads. #NTVNews #NTVTonight #NTVWeekendEdition Subscribe to Our Channel For more news visit http://www.ntv.co.ug Follow us on Twitter / ntvuganda Connect with us on Messenger via m.me/NTVUganda Contact us: CustomerCareUg@ug.nationmedia.com
