I spend three days alone winter camping in a hot tent as some powerful winds and deep cold move through the forest. The first night brings extreme temperature drop Plus 2 C to minus 16 C —howling gusts reaching 50–70 km/h, shaking the trees around camp. I was feeling somewaht uneasy but managed to make dinner - areound 7:30PM In the dark, A hge BOOM and the noise of a falling tree. That feeling of helplessness was not a good feeling - the tree narrowly misses my tent, a sharp reminder of how quickly things can change out here. After checking the radar and forecasts, I make the decision to stay and ride it out. What follows is a quieter rhythm, th snow dampens sound…. The next days are spent exploring the winter landscape—studying wildlife tracks in the snow, patterns and behaviors. I scout future brook trout fishing holes, follow frozen creeks, and visit waterfalls stuck halfway between flowing and frozen. imagining what they’ll look like come spring.🎣 Evenings return to warmth and stillness. Winter solstice made for some long cozy nights by the wood stove, canvas walls, and listening to winter storms & audiobooks. Winter has a way of stripping everything down to what matters most—shelter, fire, awareness, and respect!!! This film isn’t epic or fancy - just sharing how I find comfort in solitude, and beauty in the cold winter wonderland. Thanks for watching. Cheers
