Pause for a breath before the runway begins - Antonio Marras’ fall/winter 2026-2027 collection is a quiet invitation to return home. “Dwelling Within Oneself” is a poetic meditation on memory, intimacy, and the architecture of the soul. The show unfolded like an ancient silence woven by ants walking through wild gardens, where roots drink shade, and stories grow in the dark. At the center of the narrative stands the Jana, a figure with cloud-like feet, meeting the Caragol, the snail who offers her home as an intimate, symbolic shelter. The Jana, never entering a dwelling empty-handed, embroiders purplish and powder-hued roses across the shell, turning it into a nomadic refuge, a traveling secret garden. When the snail moves on, she carries the enchantment with her, leaving behind an invisible trace scented with rain and Mediterranean scrub. The collection lives in that suspended breath - a dialogue between who we are and the contemporary act of inhabiting one’s own interior world. Fashion here frees itself from the dust of time to become pure elegance, where memory becomes the very structure of the present. Silhouettes are vertical and fluid, with soft shoulders and below-the-knee lengths accompanying the body without ever constraining it. Wool coats with wide collars and off-centre fastenings reinterpret sartorial tradition in a gentle, generous way.
