Editing a high contrast black and white landscape

So this is an image from a workshop we did where the weather was pretty terrible and we were getting windswept and wet in virtually all the locations. But as we drove along a road near Addingham in the Yorkshire area, I spotted some beautiful light off to the side of the road and pulled over. The five of us spent a little while pointing our cameras in this general direction, and I showed them how to use ND grad filters to preserve the sky and use this farm track across the field as a focal point or a very strong leading line. This tutorial is unedited and real-time, so I apologise in advance for all the ums and ahs and delays and things, but I just wanted to get it out there so the guys who were on the day can hopefully get some tips to make a similar image.
