Solo Hike on the Kungsleden in the Arctic North of Sweden 🇸🇪 I Abisko - Nikkaluokta (July, 2023)

After school, I chose to do a voluntary social year with the ‪@drkfreiwerk‬ in a kindergarten in Finland. I helped the children learn letters and numbers and we always looked at many books and played board games together. At the same time, I noticed how the small moments give me back a lot, such as walking through the woods collecting blueberries or handing out icicles from the rooftops and looking at the shining faces. After a year I have a lot of stories in my luggage and I want to show you one of them! During my holidays in Sweden I went by train from Stockholm to Abisko to hike on my own over the Kungsleden from hut to hut all the way to Nikkaluokta. The hiking trail runs through Lapland along the mountains and is known for its changing landscapes! After 8 days I covered more than 140 km, as I took the Vestra Leden to the top of the Kebnekaise (2097 m). In the end I shortened the route with a boat and went by bus to Kiruna and from there by plane back home. If you’re looking for some tips, I would be happy to help you!
